Comprehensive School Counseling Program
This past year, our school went through a rigorous process of evaluating our school counseling program. We used a program called Redesigning School Counseling, which was long process but resulted in the creation of an even better school counseling program. Due to the hard work of several people on our School Counseling Advisory Board and the program we created, Oak Hill was awarded the Indiana Gold Star School Counseling Award, which is a prestigious award given to schools that have proven that their program is data driven for student success. We have been notified that we will be awarded the RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) award by the American School Counseling Association this coming summer for the comprehensive program that we provide for our students.
Our comprehensive program focuses on the following domains and adheres to standards and competencies provided by the Indiana Department of Education and the American School Counseling Association.
